Herders Crisis: Miyetti Allah Issues Directive To Gov. Makinde

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has reinstated five directors of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State that were sacked by the former governor of the state, Abiola Ajimobi.

The directors that were sacked by Ajimobi in 2016 were reinstated back to the civil service by Governor Makinde on Thursday.

The directors reinstated include Mr Peter Ajayi of the Commercial Services Department, Mr Segun Lawale of the Administration and Supply Department, Engineer Akinniyi Akinlabi of the Engineering Services Department, Mr Oyeboade Oyewole of the News and Current Affairs Department and Mr Ademola Adeniyi of the Programmes Department.

Gov. Makinde during his political campaign had noted through his spokesperson, Dotun Oyelade, that he would revisit the cases of the BCOS directors who were sacked without proper recourse to the civil service rules and legality if he emerged the Governor.

Oyelade who is now the Executive Chairman of BCOS noted that the decision of the Oyo State governor is in line with justice for those that were sacked without following the civil service rules.

Oyelade while speaking with the reinstated workers on Thursday called on them to justify their reinstatement to the civil service.

He urged them to contribute positively to the ongoing efforts of repositioning the corporation, he added that the governor expects them to get to work immediately.
