Just In: Buhari Meets Atiku, Fayemi In Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

NAN reports that President Buhari also met with the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu.

It was gathered that Buhari met separately with the two governors.

Buhari first met with Fayemi at his office before meeting with Atiku Bagudu alongside the Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru.

NAN reports that the agenda of the two meetings were unknown to newsmen as at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, Buhari has approved new appointments in line with fast-tracking the targets and mandate of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

This was disclosed by the President’s media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina in a statement on Monday.

Prof. Adeolu Akande (South West) replaces Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye (South West) as Chairman, Board of Commissioners For the Nigerians Communications Commission (NCC), – subject to Senate confirmation.

Mr Uche Onwude (South East) replaces Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume (South East) as Non-Executive Commissioner – subject to Senate confirmation.

For the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Abubakar Sa’id replaces Prof. Adeolu Akande as Board Chairman

Dr Habibu Ahmed Imam (North West) replaces Dr Lawal Bello Moriki (North West) and Dr Mohammed Sa’idu Kumo as Board Member

For the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOS), Dr Dr Ismail Adebayo Adewusi (South West), replaces Barrister Bisi Adegbuyi (South West) as Postmaster General/CEO

For Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), Professor Muhammed Bello Abubakar replaces Architect Yusuf Kazaure.

At The Nigeria Communications Satellite Limited (NigComSat), Architect Yusuf Kazaure replaces Chief Dr George Nnadubem Moghalu as Board Chairman while Dr Najeem Salam replaces Hon. Samson Osagie as Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development

Professor Abdu Ja’afaru Bambale replaces Kazeem Kolawole Raji as Executive Director, Technical Services; Hadi Mohammed replaces Mohammed Lema Abubakar as Executive Director, Administration.
