I’m Suffering From Cold Because Of Hard Work – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari says he is suffering from cold, attributing the ailment to his hard work as Nigeria’s President.

Naija News reports that the President made this comment on Tuesday during the presentation of the budget 2020 at the National Assembly complex in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Before presenting the details of the appropriation bill, President Buhari apologised to lawmakers of both chambers of the National Assembly for his voice, noting that he is suffering from cold because he is working hard.

“Before I proceed to read the details of the budget, let me apologise for my voice,” the President said.

“As you can hear in my voice, I have cold because I am working hard.”

The President’s comment attracted loud laughter and applause from those inside the chamber.

Naija News understands that those present at the presentation of the budget include: the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, federal lawmakers, state governors, members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, among others.
