BREAKING: At Least 28 Killed As Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Attack Benue Community

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have reportedly kidnapped His Royal Highness, Igwe Sunday Orji of Obom-Agbogugu autonomous community, Awgu Local government Area of Enugu State, southeast Nigeria.

A report by Enugu Voices, says the traditional ruler, was whisked away with his wife by the suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Naija News learned that Igwe Orji was reportedly kidnapped by the suspected Fulani herdsmen on Sunday evening, August 4, 2019.

This online news platform reports that Enugu Voices broke the news in a series of tweets on Sunday night.

“BREAKING NEWS! His Royal Highness, Igwe Sunday Orji of Obom-Agbogugu autonomous community, Awgu Local government Area of Enugu State has been kidnapped this evening by suspected Fulani Herdsmen

“Further information is that the traditional ruler was whisked away with the wife. Enugu is no longer safe,” the tweet added.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the Enugu Police Command was yet to issue a statement regarding the purported kidnapping.
