Enyimba Win 2018/2019 NPFL

Enyimba FC on Wednesday defeated Akwa United 3-0 to end the NPFL Super Six Championship Playoffs with 12 points from 5 matches and claim the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League title.

Goals from Reuben Bala, Stanley Dimgba and Abdulrahman Bashir was enough to give the two-time African champions a deserved win over Akwa United.

Enyimba are now Nigeria’s most successful club after they have previously won the championship in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2010 and 2015.

The victory ensures Enyimba will return to the CAF Champions League for 2020.
