Breaking: Kogi West: Appeal Court Rules Against Dino Melaye

Senator representing the Kogi West senatorial district, Senator Dino Melaye has taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to celebrate Leah Sharibu, the Dapchi schoolgirl, who was kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists last year, as she turns 16 years old today, May 14, 2019.

Naija News reports Leah was the only Christian among the 110 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe state, northern Nigeria, abducted on February 19, 2018.

While other girls were released by the insurgents following Federal Government’s intervention, Miss Sharibu was allegedly held back on account of her alleged refusal to renounce her Christian faith and has since been in Boko Haram captivity.

Today, being her 16th birthday, Melaye took to Twitter to celebrate her for her courage in the face of death, noting that the teenage girl has not been forgotten.

In his tweet, Melaye said; “Leah shuiabu happy 16th birthday. The God of Heaven and creator of mankind will intercede on your behalf. The fire of the Holy Ghost will plead your course. I decree your freedom from the hands of your oppressors. More grace on all sides. Happy birthday”

This is as the former presidential aide and campaigner of the #FreeLeahSharibu campaign, Reno Omokri led other Nigerians to mark the teenage girls birthday today.
