Gov. Yahaya Bello Using SARS, MOPOL To Harass PDP In Kogi State – Melaye


Battle Line Drawn As Yahaya Bello Dares Dino Melaye

The Senator representing Kogi West in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has accused Yahaya Bello, the Kogi state governor of using the police to harass PDP members in the state.

Melaye, particularly stated that the Governor was using Oc SARS and MOPOL for his activities against the opposition in the state.

Naija News recalls the Kogi state governor, Bello and the Kogi West senator, Melaye have always had their differences, with each trying to outdo the other politically in the state.

Melaye on Tuesday, took to his official Facebook account to say: “Yahaya Bello must be called to order b4 he set Kogi on fire. Using Oc SARS and Mopol to arrest and harass PDP members will be vehemently resisted. This madness must stop. Oladele John Nihi must be released immediately or we will take over the streets of Lokoja.”

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has raised alarm over alleged plans by the Nigerian police to assassinate the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye.

Usman Okai revealed this in a statement on Monday.

In his statement, he claimed that the police are working on the alleged order of the state governor, Yahaya Bello, to invade Melaye’s residence.

He took the opportunity to call on the acting inspector-general of police, Mohammed Adamu, to prevail on the police and the state government to desist from the planned act.
