2019: Ex CBN Deputy Governor, Obadiah Mailafia Joins Presidency Race

Ahead of the 2019 general election, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has submitted his intention and nomination forms to run for Presidency at the office of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

The National Coordinator of ADC, Electoral Matters and INEC Liaison, Anayo Arinze, on Thursday in Abuja, revealed that Obadiah indicated to contest for President in the 2019 elections.

Report has it that the economist arrived at the party’s national secretariat at around 12pm to submit his nomination form.

The statement released revealed that ADC will contest in all political positions in the 2019 general election, and that the party has been experiencing inflow of aspirants since INEC released election timetable.

Dr. Obadiah Mailafia was also a former Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Economic and Policy Matters.
