While in the company of National officers of the ADC, Mailafia stated that the only way the country could be built is through a well thought economic approach.

Mailafia, revealed that he had the opportunity to discuss with diverse groups as a leader of the middle belt forum, stating that the first solution to the problem being faced by Nigeria is to first understand that things are not okay with the system.

Early this year, a coalition of socio-cultural groups entered into a dialogue with a middle belt forum to come out with 4 Presidential candidates in their readiness to be anointed.

Since Gen. Yakubu Gowen era, no middle belt man has been President despite his huge success as a military man.

History showed that the military regime was the most pernicious form of government ladened with impunity and since then, infrastructures which were built have disappeared”, he said.
