Man Masks As Hired Assasin Cuts Off His Wife’s Two Fingers.

A 42-year-old man, ldowu Benson who reportedly cut off two fingers of his wife Kemi for money ritual has been arrested by the police detectives in Oba-ile area of Ondo state.

Police  source disclosed that the suspect, on 3rd of this month, about 7:30pm put on a mask and armed with cutlass pretended to be an hired assassin invaded his own house and attacked his wife.

Naija News learnt that the attack took place at Kardors College Street, off Akure/ Owo expressway, Oba-ile in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

During the attack, the suspect was said to have informed the wife on gaining entry into the house that he was sent to kill her and in the process matcheted her on the head and cut off two of her fingers.

It was learnt that the fingers were chopped off while the wife was trying to fence off the machete from cutting off her head and left with them to allegedly use for money rituals.

Vanguard reports that the suspect even asked the wife the whereabouts of her husband during the attack.

Police source said that the wife who bled profusely until help came from neighbours who heard her distress call.

The incident was reported at the police station by the victim and detectives swung into action only for their findings to reveal that it was an inside job.

The suspect’s telephone reportedly dropped inside the room from his pocket while he attacked his wife.

After the attack and having fled with the fingers of his wife, the suspect later returned to the house and was reportedly searching for his telephone.

Report had it that the suspect was invited and their investigation revealed that he masterminded the attack and he confessed to the police.

Contacted, the police image maker Femi Joseph said the suspect confessed attacking the wife blaming it on the devil.

Joseph said the suspect however denied using the chopped off fingers for money rituals.

According to Joseph the suspect was yet to confess where he kept the two fingers of his wife that he chopped off during the attack.

The police spokesperson said the suspect attacked his wife with cutlass and attempted to kill her.

” He ( the suspect) has not confessed to police detectives where he kept the fingers or what he had done with them. He kept saying it was not cut off for money rituals.
