Omokri Argues That Goodluck Jogs Five Times What Buhari Walked

Reno Omokri, a former aide to Ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to the news making round, that the Presidency declared President Muhammadu Buhari fit for a second term due to the 800m trekking he took in Daura, Katsina State.

Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, had on Tuesday said that the 800 metres walk taken by Buhari from the Eid ground to his private residence in Daura, Katsina State is a sign that he was fit to seek re-election in 2019.

Omokri while reacting to the statement said the President is only fit for second term when he can ‘work’ and not just ‘walk’ 800metres.

He stated that Goodluck Jonathan jogs five times the distance covered by Buhari.

Omokri on his Twitter page wrote: “Garba Shehu says we should vote for Buhari for a second term because he walked 800 meters today. Really?

“Jonathan jogs five times that number and is very fit and agile. A President only deserves a second term because he can WORK, not because he can WALK.”
