Melaye Slams Buhari Over Plateau Killings
Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district in the upper house of the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has charged President Buhari to justify the huge spending on security in the country.
The Senator said this in reaction to the recent brutal killing of over 100 people as well as the burning of several houses in Plateau state.
Melaye, in a Facebook post obtained by Naija News, told the President to act immediately.
He said:
“Mr President the killings in our country is no longer acceptable. NOW!!! you must show capacity if there is any, there is no justification for all the trillions of public money spent on security if people will continue to die with reckless abandon. PMB act NOW!!!!”
President Buhari had earlier pleaded for calm in the face of the clashes, promising that all those found guilty would be arrested and prosecuted.
