Nigerian Army Stages Manhunt For Killers Of Soldiers In Bayelsa

The Nigerian Army has launched a military operation at Toru-Ndoro community in Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

The operation is to uncover those who beheaded a soldier in the area.

Naija News gathered that four soldiers were murdered in the gruesome clash between militants and soldiers.

Following the clash the Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Delta Safe launched a manhunt in order to arrest the militants behind the murder.

The Ijaw Youths Council and Bayelsa government had claimed that the troops had violated them and burnt down houses of innocent residents in the area.

Four of the soldiers who are in the operation were said to have been killed in a gun battle with the militants.

Consequently, the Commander of JTF Rear Admiral Suleiman Apochi, has deployed more troops as reinforcement in the community.
