Nigerian Super Eagles will be paid their win bonus for last month’s victory over Algeria.

The Super Eagles led by John Obi Mikel will receive their winning match bonuses for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria, it has been revealed.

Nigeria beat Algeria 3-1 in a World Cup qualifier in November, but were not paid the $5,000 a man win bonus for the victory, but having received funds from the federal government last week, the Super Eagles players will now be paid this weekend at the very latest.

Reports suggest the players’ bank account details have already been compiled by the Nigeria Football Federation.

According to the reports, the players will however not be paid is US dollars, but in Naira at the official rate of 305 Naira a dollar, meaning they will each pocket 1,525,000 Naira each.

However, no mention was made of the win bonus for the 2-1 win in another World Cup qualifier in Zambia in October. The win bonus is also $5,000-a-man.

Nigeria are top of their World Cup qualifying group with six points from two matches, while Cameroon are second with two points from as many matches.

Zambia and Algeria have recorded a point apiece.
