The power tussle rocking Kaduna State All Progressives Congress (APC) is getting messier by the day as thugs allegedly loyal to Senator Shehu Sani, on Sunday attacked the party secretariat with local weapons.
The thugs who were said to be over 50 reportedly chanted the Senator’s name as they hit at the gate of the party secretariat on Ali Akilu Way with local weapons.
It was reported that a detachment of the Nigerian Police was deployed to curtail the situation and restore normalcy.
Senator Sani on Saturday had claimed that his constituency office in Kaduna and family house was attacked by thugs allegedly loyal to Governor Nasir El-Rufai, saying that the governor should be held responsible for whatever happens to him and his family
Since the Senator’s November 30 suspension, over what the party termed “illegalities committed against the party,” it has been one name calling, attack or the other between the senator and the state’s governor.
