Legendary Uruguayan Speaks About How "Happy" Benzema's Departure Has Made France's Players

Ballon d’Or winner, Karim Benzema, will miss Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Sevilla on Saturday due to a thigh injury.

The 34-year-old, who was hailed as the best player in the world on Monday, and netted against Elche to keep the Los Blancos in the first place, will not be available when Carlo Ancelotti’s men welcome Sevilla to Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

The club’s statement reads: “After the tests today on Karim Benzema by Real Madrid’s medical services, they detected muscular fatigue in the quadriceps of his left leg.”

Benzema has five goals in seven league appearances this season despite missing the majority of September due to a thigh strain in his right leg.
