UK Approves COVID-19 Vaccine

The United Kingdom has approved a vaccine for Coronavirus. This makes the country the first to approve a vaccine in the world.

The UK noted that it will commence the use of Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus jab starting from next week.

Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency of the Department of Health disclosed that the approved vaccine offers up to 95 percent protection against COVID-19.

It added that 40 million doses and immunisations will start within days for those in the first line of priority.

Health Secretary, Matt Hancock said, “Help is on its way. The NHS stands ready to start vaccinating early next week”
