Police Make Arrest Over Oyo Council Boss Kidnap
Oyo State Police Command on Monday arrested three suspects behind the recent abduction of the caretaker chairman of Iganna Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Mr Olayiwola Adeleke.
This was made known by Governor Seyi Makinde while addressing top police officers at the State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Governor Makinde commended the police for the good job done.
Naija News reports that the Oyo Police Command is yet to make the details of the arrest public.
Recall that the news of the kidnap of the Chairman was made public on Monday, October 26th.
Adeleke was said to be travelling along the Okeho-Ado Awaye road on his way to Ibadan for a meeting scheduled to hold with Governor Makinde when the gunmen abducted him on Sunday, October 25th.
The sum of N200million was placed on the kidnapped council boss as ransom.
Adeleke was later freed with his driver who was also kidnapped.
