Fani-Kayode Demands Apology, N6bn From Daily Trust

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has asked the management of Media Trust Limited – publisher of Daily Trust – to enter into a negotiation for a possible settlement of N6 billion for defamation of character.

This was made known in a letter by Fani-Kayode’s lawyer, Adeola Adesipe, addressed to the Managing Director of the newspaper dated August 31, 2020 and titled, ‘Defamation of the Character of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode by Iliyasu Gadu’.

Two Policemen Killed As Oshiomhole Escapes Death In Benin

The former Governor of Edo State and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday narrowly escaped death.

Information gathered revealed that a trailer ran into the convoy of the former Governor, which saw his car destroyed, and two policemen killed, who were part of his escort along the Benin bye-pass in Benin, the state capital.
