WAEC Announces Final Decision On Candidates With Seized, Withheld Results From 2023 Examination

The Federal government and States will on Monday (today) meet in a reconciliatory to discuss the reopening of schools and other matters related to examinations.

Naija News reports that the meeting would involve the Ministry of Education and Commissioners of Education in the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

The invitation letter for the meeting was signed by the Director of Press in the Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong on Sunday.

The meeting would discuss the way forward towards reopening schools which have been shut since COVID-19 was reported in Nigeria.

Other topics to be discussed include: the new schedule for the West African School Certificate Examination conducted by the West African Examination Council; Senior School Certificate Examination of National Examination Council; Basic Education Certificate Examination, National Common Entrance, among other issues.

“Invitation to a webinar consultative meeting between the Federal Ministry of Education and Honourable Commissioners of Education. The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Arc Sonny Echono, cordially invites Honourable Commissioners of education of the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT to a consultative meeting on the way forward towards reopening our schools,” he said.

“In particular, the agenda for a new schedule for WAEC, NECO, BECE, the National Common Entrance Examination among other issues will be on the table.”
