Fire Breaks Out At World Trade Centre
A fire outbreak has been recorded on the rooftop of the World Trade Center in Abuja, although it did not cause any damage, an official of the company managing the facility, Mr Ibukun Adeosun, explains that the fire occurred at about 11 thirty a.m., adding that at least three fire service trucks were deployed to contain the inferno.
Minister Announces Arrival Time For Travellers
The minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika, says the arrival time stipulated for travellers to get to the airport is 90 minutes before departure, in a tweet today, the minister appealed to air passengers to endeavour to check-in online.
Bandits Kill 24, Burn Houses In Zango Kataf
At least 24 people have been killed and several others injured after gunmen attacked three communities in Zango Kataf Local government area of Kaduna state, although police authorities are yet to confirm the incident, the chairman of Zango Kataf local government, Elias Manza, noted that the Bandits first attacked Kebob Village on Friday night and killed nine people, with many others seriously injured, while many houses were also burnt.
Nelson Mandela’s Daughter Dies
Zenzi Mandela, the daughter of anti-apartheid icon, Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has died.
Zenzi, who is approaching 60 years, is said to have died in Johannesburg today. She was a political activist and among those who fought the oppressive apartheid regime.
