The Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF), in association with 5-Stars Football Consultancy has completed arrangement to stage charity football Matches to support 200 children for heart surgery in Nigeria.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 5-Stars Football Consultancy, Mr Olumide Aturu, made this disclosure in an interview with NAN in Abuja.

Aturu stated that the charity match, which will hold on Sept. 30 at Hive Barnet City FC Stadium, United Kingdom, will feature African stars and premier league’s veterans.

He also noted that an Abuja chapter of the charity match which will hold at the Planet Futsal, Utako, Abuja on the same day, will be between Kanu Heart Foundation Team and Abuja All Stars team.

“It is a one day 7-a-side charity football match scheduled to be played in a knockout format till the final stage.

“We invite interested football teams to embrace this noble act and support the foundation by participating and contributing little token of £1 or more, the Naira equivalent of N500.

“Your participation and support would go a long way in offsetting the bills of over 200 children hoping to be operated.

“Since the establishment of the foundation in year 2000, over 542 successful heart operations have been carried out across the world,” he said.

Aturu stated further that the Kanu Heart Foundation was making arrangements to build and equip an ultra-modern Cardiac Centre in the Federal Capital Territory for heart surgeries.

According to him, Kanu Heart Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) founded by World renowned footballer, Kanu Nwankwo to help Nigerian children with cardiac diseases obtain surgeries within and outside Nigeria.
