Super Falcons Of Nigeria Set Up Morocco Camp Ahead Of 2026 WAFCON

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will begin their training camp in Mohammedia, Morocco, on Wednesday, July 15, as preparations gather pace for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The nine-time African champions will spend a week in Mohammedia before moving to Rabat, where they are scheduled to play all three Group C matches.

Head coach Justine Madugu is also expected to name his final squad before the team departs for the tournament.

Nigeria head into the competition on the back of successive friendly victories over Senegal last month. The two wins gave the coaching staff a final opportunity to assess the squad before the start of the continental championship.

The Super Falcons will be aiming to secure a record-extending 11th WAFCON title and are widely regarded as one of the leading contenders for the trophy.

Nigeria open their Group C campaign against Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, July 28.

They return to the same venue on Saturday, August 1, to face Zambia in what is expected to be the standout fixture of the group.

Madugu’s side will round off the group stage against Egypt at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, August 5.

The top two teams in each group will progress to the quarter-finals as the Super Falcons seek to defend their continental crown.
