Innoson Reacts To Reports Of Founder’s Death

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company has dismissed reports circulating online claiming that its founder and chairman, Innocent Chukwuma, has died.

Naija News reports that the company in a statement released on Wednesday said the information is false and has no basis, adding that the businessman is alive and still in charge of the organisation.

The company explained that the rumour appears to have come from a mix-up involving another person with a similar name.

It stated that this confusion has been clarified in the past, including by fact-checking efforts, and should not be taken as truth.

Management of Innoson advised the public, customers, business partners, banks, government bodies and others to ignore the false report and depend only on official communication from the company.

It also said it has started legal steps against the publisher of the report. According to the company, it is demanding that the story be pulled down, a public apology be issued, and further spread of the claim be stopped.

The firm added that it will continue to take all lawful actions needed to protect the reputation of its founder and the image of the company.

Innoson also restated its focus on vehicle production and business operations in Nigeria, saying it will not be distracted by misinformation. It thanked Nigerians and partners for their continued trust and support.
