Meanwhile, Governor Oyebanji has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election after voting with his wife at Polling Unit 003, Oyebanji’s Compound, RA 06, in Ekiti West Local Government Area.
He said reports from across the state showed that the election was peaceful, with encouraging voter turnout in many communities.
Although some polling units experienced technical problems during the accreditation process, Oyebanji urged residents not to panic.
Reports from some areas indicated that electronic voter verification devices encountered difficulties in capturing the details of certain voters, causing delays in the early hours of voting.
Reacting to the situation, the governor appealed to voters to remain calm and patient.
He assured the electorate that every eligible voter would be given the opportunity to cast a ballot and would not be denied participation because of technical challenges.
