Ekiti: ‘Oyebanji Has Already Won The Election’ – Fayose
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has expressed confidence in the chances of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, emerging victorious at the poll.
Naija News reports that Fayose made this known while speaking with journalists shortly after voting at Polling Unit 1, St. David Primary School, Afao-Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area, in the ongoing governorship election in the state.
Fayose emphasised that prevailing political developments and the mood among residents indicated strong support for Oyebanji across the state.
He said, “Oyebanji has already won the election.
“If you look at the state of things in the state and the body language of the people, I am predicting an overwhelming victory for him.”
Meanwhile, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dare Bejide, has cast his vote at the Oke Adura Polling Unit in Ekiti South West Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking to newsmen after voting, he described the voter turnout as impressive but alleged that vote-buying was taking place at the polling unit.
He claimed that members of a particular political party were distributing money to voters.
“There were allegations that this lady was distributing money, and I confronted her. She called her boss. The council chairman came here and started abusing me,” he said.
