2027: It’s Time For Nigeria To Have Igbo President – Brymo

Nigerian singer Brymo has said Nigeria should now begin to think about having an Igbo president, calling for unity and a fresh start in the country’s political direction.

Naija News reports that he made the comments during a recent interview on Yanga FM in Lagos, where he spoke about national unity and the need for reconciliation among different groups in Nigeria.

Brymo said it is time for the country to move past old divisions and allow fair consideration for leaders from the South-East.

He also said national healing should be part of the political process going forward.

At the same time, he raised concern that insecurity in the South-East could affect political progress, claiming that some groups in the country take advantage of unrest for political gain.

Brymo said:

Brymo said, “I think it is high time for Igbo presidency. It is time for Nigeria to start considering Igbo presidency. Let’s let go of the past and reconcile our differences and unit as a nation.

“But how will we get there if the South-east is also slowly descending into chaos? Anytime any group in Nigeria wants presidency, they will start militancy. That is what is going on. If you want presidency, start kidnapping and insecurity.

“One of the reasons I like President Bola Tinubu is because he stopped Amotekun from taking off. He didn’t support it. Imagine if Yorubas have Amotekun active, South-eastern insecurity active, Boko Haram active, and South-south militants active, do we still have a country?”
