In All Things They Say About Obi, No One Has Accused Him Of Stealing Money – Nwokocha
Spokesperson for the Southeast Obidient Movement, Kenedy Nwokocha, has said that former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, has not been linked to any corruption case despite claims made by his critics.
Speaking during an interview on Signature TV, Nwokocha said Obi left office in a transparent manner and involved key institutions during his exit.
According to him, the former governor invited the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and also informed banks about the financial records and activities of his administration to ensure full accountability.
Nwokocha added that while political discussions often come with different claims, there has been no proven allegation that the former Labour Party presidential candidate stole public funds.
Naija News reports that he maintained that Obi’s time in office and his exit were handled openly, and no official body has established any case of financial wrongdoing against him.
He said: “When he was about to leave office, he called the EFCC, called everybody and said, ‘Come.’ He called the banks and said, ‘This is my stewardship, and this is the account of my stewardship.’ You know, in politics, people can say a lot of nonsense, but in all the things they say about Peter Obi, nobody has accused him of stealing money.”
