I Went Back To Look For All The Girls Who Rejected Me After I Became Successful – Don Jazzy

Nigerian music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has disclosed that he went back to look for the girls who rejected him in secondary school after he became successful.

According to the singer, he was traumatised by the rejection he faced in secondary school.

Naija News reports that the Marvin Records boss shared his past experience during an appearance on the Keeping It Real With Jima podcast.

The music producer explained that his experience affected him psychologically, even into adulthood.

He further revealed that after becoming successful and famous, he went back to look for the girls in a bid to overcome the psychological trauma.

“I wasn’t good-looking during my secondary school days. Thank God for music because back then I was constantly being rejected by girls. But after I became successful, I went back to look for all the girls who rejected me. But almost all of them were already married,” he revealed.

Meanwhile, Don Jazzy has said he might extend his search for a life partner outside Nigeria, with East African countries now on his mind.

Naija News reports that the Mavin Records boss, who leads Mavin Records, made the remark during a playful interaction with fans on Instagram.

A fan had described him as an “African treasure” who belongs to the whole continent, not just Nigerians. In response, he agreed in a light mood and said he often feels a strong connection with different African countries, including Ghana, South Africa, and Uganda, even though he has never visited Uganda.

He went on to joke about love and marriage, saying that if he does not find a wife in Nigeria, he may consider Uganda or Tanzania.

He also added that he has heard positive things about women from those countries.

“Sometimes, I feel like I’m Ghanaian, sometimes South African. Sometimes I feel like I’m Ugandan, even though I haven’t been to Uganda, and I hear it’s hot there,” he said.

“I heard that the babes there are nice. If you are from Uganda and you are a babe, do you girls like me there? Maybe I should come to Uganda since I did not find a wife in Nigeria. Maybe I should go and find a wife in Uganda or Tanzania.”
