Is This Not An Opportunity To Score 1? – Frank Edwards Blasts Government Over Oyo Kidnap

Gospel singer Frank Edwards has expressed concern over the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.

Naija News reports that the singer shared his reaction through his Instagram story.

He said that the kidnapping crisis presented an opportunity for the government to demonstrate leadership by taking every necessary step to secure the release of the victims.

Frank Edwards said he could not understand the government’s approach to the situation, especially at a time when public confidence in leadership remains a major issue.

He argued that bringing the children back safely would be one way for the government to earn public trust.

He wrote: “I don’t even understand how this govt reason even if you are seeking re-election. Is this not an opportunity to score 1 by just doing what ever is needed to bring this kids back ? at least get 1 thing right.”

His comments come amid growing concern over the fate of dozens of pupils and teachers abducted from schools in communities within Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State on May 15.

The attack involved multiple schools in Yawota and Esinele communities, with the victims taken into forest areas by armed men.

The incident has sparked protests by parents, teachers and residents.
