I Don’t Know What Came Over Her – Kate Henshaw Speaks On Fallout With Genevieve

Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has shared thoughts on why her once very close relationship with fellow actress Genevieve Nnaji changed over the years.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the Tea with Tay podcast, Kate reflected on how both of them were once seen together often and were regarded as close friends in the Nigerian film industry. She explained that the bond they shared in the past did not continue as time went on.

According to her, the friendship slowly reduced without a clear reason she could point to. She said she still does not fully understand what led to the distance between them. She also mentioned that there could have been issues around trust, but she is not certain about that and cannot say exactly what changed.

Naija News reports that Kate noted that people often assume there must be a clear reason when relationships change, but in her case, she does not have a definite answer. She expressed that the shift happened gradually and left her with questions rather than clarity.

“We grew apart. Maybe she had some kind of mistrust about me… I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what came over her,” she said.
