He Already Bought The Ring – Kate Henshaw Reveals Why She Refused To Marry Ex-Lover 

Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has shared details about a past relationship that ended after she discovered her former partner was struggling with mental health problems and controlling behaviour.

Naija News reports that the actress spoke during an interview on the Tea With Tay Podcast, where she explained that the man had planned to marry her and had already bought a ring. She said she was happy about the relationship at the beginning and believed it could lead to marriage.

Henshaw, however, said things later changed after a close friend advised her to slow down and pay attention to some troubling signs in the relationship. According to her, the man became overly possessive and wanted to control many parts of her life, including how she dressed and the choices she made.

She revealed that the situation became more difficult after noticing his mental health condition and aggressive behaviour. The actress said she eventually decided to end the relationship because she no longer felt comfortable continuing with him.

The Nollywood star explained that protecting her peace and safety became more important as the relationship worsened.

She said: “There was one who wanted to marry me, he has mental issues. I am sure if he sees this video he will know he is the one I am talking about. He is Schizophrenic in nature, he is not alright. He had bought ring and I was excited but my bestie told me to slow down. The man was very possessive.”
