Champions League: PSG Unveil Squad For Liverpool Clash
Manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Luis Enrique, has unveiled his squad for Wednesday night’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against Liverpool FC.
The high-stakes encounter is scheduled to take place at the Parc des Princes, Paris.
Enrique named a strong attacking lineup, with Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia expected to spearhead PSG’s frontline against the Premier League side.
Naija News reports that also included in the attacking options are Gonçalo Ramos and Kang-In Lee, giving the French champions depth in the final third.
In defence, the Spanish tactician called on experienced heads such as Achraf Hakimi and Marquinhos to marshal the backline.
They are joined by Lucas Hernandez, Illia Zabarnyi and Nuno Mendes as PSG aim to keep Liverpool’s attack in check.
The midfield will be led by Vitinha and Lucas Beraldo, alongside promising talents like Warren Zaïre-Emery and João Neves.
The blend of youth and experience is expected to give PSG balance in both attack and defence.
PSG head into the encounter in high spirits after securing a 3-1 victory over Toulouse in their last outing, a result that could boost their confidence ahead of the crucial European tie.
