AC Milan Confident Fulham Will Trigger €24m Option For Samuel Chukwueze After Impressive Loan Spell
AC Milan are increasingly optimistic that Fulham will activate their option to sign Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent deal following a promising loan spell in the Premier League.
According to Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri believe the London club are leaning towards completing the €24 million transfer, a fee that would represent one of Milan’s most lucrative outgoing deals in the upcoming window.
The report suggests Milan expect to earn twice as much from Chukwueze’s definitive sale compared to other potential departures, providing a significant financial boost as they plan their squad rebuild.
Fulham’s confidence in triggering the clause is expected to grow further if the 26 year old maintains his positive momentum in the second half of the season.
Although his campaign has been interrupted by fitness concerns, Chukwueze has still produced encouraging numbers, contributing three goals and four assists across all competitions.
Chukwueze’s progress was temporarily halted by international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he helped Nigeria secure a third place finish, a commitment that saw him miss six Premier League matches.
Since returning to club action, he has steadily worked his way back into Fulham’s plans, making three additional appearances and earning starts in key league clashes against Manchester United and Everton.
His recent run in the starting line up has strengthened his status within Marco Silva’s attacking setup, with his pace, direct running and improved end product adding a new edge to Fulham’s forward line.
Fulham currently sit tenth in the Premier League standings, enjoying a stable campaign in which Chukwueze’s influence has grown steadily.
AC Milan are confident that his rising importance and continued impact will persuade the Cottagers to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
