AFCON 2025: Quarter-Finals Fixtures, Dates, Top Scorers [Full List]

The quarter-final picture for the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 is now largely confirmed following Algeria national football team’s dramatic extra-time victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo national football team on Tuesday night.

Algeria edged DR Congo 1–0 in Rabat, with substitute Anis Boulbina scoring the decisive goal in the 119th minute to send the North Africans into the last eight.

The hard-fought win sets up a mouth-watering quarter-final showdown against Nigeria national football team, who sealed qualification on Monday with an emphatic 4–0 victory over Mozambique national football team.

Several heavyweight nations have also booked their places in the quarter-finals. They include Senegal, Mali, tournament hosts Morocco, Cameroon, and Egypt.

Defending champions Côte d’Ivoire also advanced in style, cruising to a 3–0 win over Burkina Faso.l.
