AFCON 2025: Super Eagles Of Nigeria Vs Mozambique Starting Eleven Confirmed
The starting line-ups for the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Round of 16 clash against Mozambique have been officially confirmed, setting the stage for a keenly anticipated knockout tie.
The Super Eagles, chasing a fourth continental crown, will line up with Stanley Nwabali in goal behind a defence marshalled by Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey. Wilfred Ndidi anchors the midfield alongside Frank Onyeka, while Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman are tasked with driving the attack. Victor Osimhen leads the line, supported by Bright Osayi-Samuel, Akor Adams and Bruno Onyemaechi.

Their sole AFCON meeting came during the group stage of the 2010 tournament, when Nigeria secured a 3-0 victory through a brace from Peter Odemwingie and a late strike by Obafemi Martins
