Off-Cycle Elections: INEC Reveals Those Who Will Have Access To Result Collation Centres

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured that all accredited persons would have access to the collation centres in states where off-cycle governorship elections held on Saturday, 11th November 2023.

The assurance was given by the electoral body in a statement on Saturday night via its official account on the X platform.

While stating that the electoral process has moved to the collation stage in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa States where the elections held, INEC said all accredited agents, observers and journalists must be granted access to the collation centres.

It also called on the security agents and agencies to provide adequate protection at the collation centres.

“Following the conclusion of voting in the three off-cycle Governorship elections held today in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States, the processes now move to collation.

“The Commission wishes to reiterate that all accredited agents, observers and journalists must be allowed unimpeded access to collation locations at all levels.

“We urge the security agencies to ensure security at all collation centres,” the statement reads.
