Serbian tennis sensation Novak Djokovic remains the highest rated tennis star in the world ahead of Carlos Alcaraz of Spain according to the ATP world rankings released on Monday, November 6, 2023.

Novak Djokovic maintained his number-one spot in the world after recording his seventh victory at the Paris Masters over the weekend.

Djokovic won his 40th Masters 1000 title and extended his winning streak to eighteen matches before the elite year-ending ATP finals in Turin next week.

After beating the unseeded Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 6-3 in straightforward fashion at the Paris Masters, the 36-year-old tennis legend said, “It’s incredible to be able to win it after quite challenging circumstances this week.

“I basically came back from the brink of losing three matches in a row so I’m very proud of this one considering what I’ve been through this week.”

Thanks to the win, Novak Djokovic now leads the ATP rankings with 11,445 points ahead of 20-year-old Alcaraz who has 8,455 points.

Holger Rune of Denmark experienced the biggest drop in this latest ranking as he dropped three spots to tenth place after losing to Djokovic in the quarterfinals.
