Security operatives have taken over different angles in Abuja as the Supreme Court delivers judgement on appeals seeking to nullify the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT).

Naija News understands that the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi respectively are challenging the outcome of the February 25, 2023 presidential election.

A seven-member panel of the Supreme Court headed by John Okoro, on Monday heard the appeals of Atiku and Obi.

At the final hearing of the case on Monday, Atiku’s lawyer, Chris Uche tendered fresh evidence before the Supreme Court to prove his client’s case against Tinubu.

The Supreme Court will decide in its judgement today whether the fresh evidence, critical to Atiku’s case, is legally acceptable and can be reviewed as part of evidence submitted by a party.

Atiku through his lawyer, Chris Uche, accused Tinubu of forgery concerning the president’s academic records from the Chicago State University.

On his part, Obi’s lawyer, Livy Uzoukwu, urged the Supreme Court to nullify the presidential election court decision and declare Obi the winner of the election.
