Reactions As Power Outage Hits Senate Chamber Of National Assembly (Video)

The Senate has commenced the screening of the nominee for the position of Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Musa Aliyu.

Aliyu was ushered into the Senate chamber along with members of his team after the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, moved a motion for the suspension of relevant sections of the Senate rules to admit the visitors on Thursday.

Recall that on October 17, the appointments of Aliyu and Clifford Okwudiri Oparaodu as the Secretary of the Commission were announced by the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.

The appointment came after Bolaji Owasanoye, outgoing chair of the ICPC, proceeded on his retirement leave.
