Three Governors of the Southwest, Babajide Sanwo-olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti) on Tuesday visited their colleague in Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.

It was gathered that Governor Makinde received his colleagues from Lagos, Ogun and Ekiti at his private office at the Oyo state government Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan.

The four governors held a brief private meeting at the Oyo state governor’s office and later drove out.

At the time of filing this report, no official statement had been released about their meeting but it was gathered that the Governors visited Oyo to check on their Ondo State counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu in his private residence in Ibadan.

It would be recalled that Akeredolu had been in Ibadan since returning from his medical trip to Germany.

Declare Rotimi Akeredolu As Incapacitated, Unfit To Remain Governor – Group Tasks State Executive Council

A group of legal practitioners and concerned citizens has urged the Ondo State Executive Council to declare Governor Rotimi Akeredolu unfit to remain the state governor, due to his poor health status.

The lawyers, in a statement, made the request in accordance with section 189 of the Nigerian Constitution 1999 (as amended), adding that the long absence of the governor had affected the socio-economic progress of the state.
