Why Tinubu Shouldn't Appoint His Cronies As Ambassadors - Akinterinwa

President Bola Tinubu has directed the withdrawal of the nomination of Engr. Imam Kashim Imam to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

Naija News reports that this was made known in a statement on Thursday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

He stated that the President’s withdrawal of the nomination, as mentioned above, is directed with immediate effect.

All other appointments to the Board and Executive Management team of FERMA are not affected by this directive.

Naija News reports that Some Nigerians had slammed the president for appointing the 24-year-old to head the federal agency.

Kashim Imam, who reportedly finished his National Youth Service last year, was widely seen as inexperienced to head such a strategic agency.

However, individuals like a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and former Senator, Shehu Sani, had commended Tinubu for the appointment.
