A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta state, Chief Charles Obada, has asserted that the Supreme Court will favour President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in its judgement on the petitions by 2023 presidential candidates.

Naija News understands that Obada stated this while speaking at his residence in Agbarho, Ughelli, north local government area, Delta state.

The eldest son of late General Orho Obada Rtd said enough was enough, and opposition parties should bid farewell to their petitions to allow President Tinubu to concentrate on his governance responsibilities.

Chief Obada further stressed that the petitioners, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who have expressed their disagreement with the outcome of the February 25th presidential election and the recent judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, must put aside their differences and allow Tinubu to focus on his duties as the country’s president.

According to him, the time for conflict has come to an end.

He also appealed to the Senate to confirm Hon Stella Okotete as a Minister and expressed his optimism that Chief Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the APC’s governorship candidate in the last election in Delta state, will ultimately regain his mandate through the court processes.

“I want to urge all parties at this time to sheath their swords, not minding their cases at the Supreme Court. I am one of those who believe that the judgement from the Supreme Court would be in favour of the President.

“So it is time to tell all of them that enough was enough. We need to give the President space to focus on governance, in Nigeria. Let us all support Mr President to succeed,” the APC chieftain said.

Obada also expressed optimism that the governorship candidate of the APC in the last election in Delta state, Chief Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, would finally reclaim his mandate via the court processes.
