Tinubu’s Aide Attacks Ezekwesili Over Stand On President’s Alleged Forged Certificate

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has come under a verbal attack over her reaction to the alleged forged certificate said to have been presented by President Bola Tinubu.

She was described on Wednesday in a social media post as the most reckless and indisciplined former senior government official by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Temitope Ajayi.

He also accused Ezekwesili of always playing to the gallery at every given opportunity.

Naija News recalls the Chicago State University on Monday released Tinubu’s academic records to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, based on the directive of an American court.

The records were made public based on a petition filed by Atiku who alleged that the documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by Tinubu in contesting the 2023 elections were forged.

Reacting to the allegations of a forged certificate, Ezekwesiili had said President Tinubu would have saved the country and people the embarrassment if he had voluntarily asked the institution to publish his academic credentials.

She stated that the release of the documents by the University would have been less traumatic, adding that such exemplary disclosure would also remove all doubts.

However, her reaction did not sit well with the presidential aide who accused the former Minister of lacking decorum.

He wrote on the microblogging platform, X; “I have never seen any former senior government official or a former Minister that is as reckless and indisciplined like @obyezeks with the way and manner she intervenes on issues of public interest.

“In a manner typical of her, she has jumped on the Atiku Abubakar’s groundless Chicago State University matter in deference to her base instincts. Every matter is an opportunity for Madam Oby to play to the gallery. Having attained certain level and public status in life, a measure of decorum is expected.”
