Zamfara Varsity Has Resumed After Our Daughters Were Kidnapped – Families Of Victims

The relatives of some kidnapped students of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State, have accused the school management of abandoning their daughters and sisters in the terrorists’ custody.

A brother to one of the kidnapped female students on Tuesday morning disclosed that the school had resumed normal activities days after the attack on the female hostels of the school.

In a chat with SaharaReporters, the brother said the management of the institution has failed to make any drastic efforts to ensure the female students who were kidnapped by terrorists 11 days ago were rescued.

“The university has resumed its normal academic activities, and nothing whatsoever (to rescue the kidnapped students) has been done. No word from anyone. They (the school management) did not reach out or anything,” he said.

Another family source also revealed that the victims’ families and other concerned Nigerians held a protest on Sunday in Abuja, Kaduna and Niger to demand an immediate rescue of the kidnapped students.

Naija News had reported how some terrorists invaded the students’ residence at Sabon-Gida, identified as Nazeer Sabon-Gida, and abducted at least 30 female students.

However, the Joint Task Force (JTF) of Operation Hadarin Daji of the Nigerian Army rescued thirteen of the students after a gun battle with the terrorists.
