Mixed Reactions As Wike ‘Dines’ With Court Of Appeal Judges

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike on Monday caused a stir after attending the Court of Appeal 2023/2024 legal ceremony with former Chief Justices of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, Mahmoud Mohammed and the current CJN, Olukayode Ariwoola.

Naija News reports that the ceremony, which included a conference and interaction between the justices, heralds a new year for the appellate court.

Onnoghen, Mahmood and the CJN Ariwoola sat side by side in the front row at the event while the former Rivers governor made his presentation during the event.

The video has sparked mixed reactions amongst Nigerians on social media with many expressing concerns on the unbaised Judgment of Supreme Court in suit filed by Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi and his counterpart, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Wike is the only Peoples Democratic Party chieftain appointed as minister by the Bola -Tinubu led administration following the critical role he played during the 2023 general elections.
