Davido Reacts As Wizkid Loses Mother

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has commiserated with his colleague, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, following the demise of his mother.

Naija News earlier reported that a close associate of Wizkid confirmed that the singer lost his mother after a brief illness.

Mrs. Balogun, who was a pillar of support for her son’s flourishing career, and often seen showing her support for him from the sidelines at concerts, died in the wee hours of today, Friday, August 18, 2023.

Wizkid’s longtime manager, Sunday Aare, also confirmed the sad news to The Punch.

He said, “Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am”

In a post on his Twitter page, Davido described Wizkid as his brother and assured him that he is currently praying for him.

He wrote: “Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time.”

Tribal-Marked Model Publicly Calls Out Davido

Meanwhile, Nigerian model, Adetutu Alabi, has taken to social media to publicly call out Davido for owing her.

Adetutu, via her Instagram page on Thursday, said that the singer had messaged her a couple of years ago for a music video feature but did not sign any agreement with the singer.

She added that she was expecting her pay, but it never came to date.

Adetutu further pleaded with the singer to pay her, as she’s a girl from the ‘trenches’ and ‘hides nothing.’
