‘Outstanding Officer’ – Buhari Sends Message To IBB On 82nd Birthday

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated the former military Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) on the occasion of his 82nd birthday.

Buhari described Babangida as an outstanding officer who had a vision of development for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the nation as a whole.

The former Nigerian leader made the submission in his congratulatory message to IBB made available to reporters, on Thursday by his media aide, Garba Shehu.

Buhari also wished General Babangida a longer life in good health.

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has described IBB as an unflinching patriot.

He also described the former military ruler as a leader who has made a visible and huge impact on Nigeria’s socio-political and economic development.

Obi made the submission in his congratulatory message to IBB on the occasion of his 82nd birthday on Thursday.

He added that despite his age, Babangida’s voice of counsel in leadership positions remain relevant, and prayed to God to grant him more happy years ahead.
