A video showing the moment one of the newly appointed military governors appointed by the military junta in Niger Republic resumed office has surfaced on social media.

According to the video shared by Daily Trust and seen by our correspondent on Thursday, there was jubilation as the military governor appointed by the Niger military junta resumed office.

Naija News recalls the Military junta in Niger Republic appointed new governors for the eight regions of the nation.

The spokesperson of the coup leaders, Amadou Abdramane, made this known during a press conference on Tuesday, 1st August.

Niger: Why Sanusi Visited Tinubu

The former Emir of Kano, Mohammad Sanusi on Wednesday met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

Naija News had earlier reported that Sanusi met with President Tinubu to brief him on his meeting with the military coup leaders in Niger.

Sanusi while addressing newsmen after the meeting said he came to the Presidential Villa to brief President Tinubu on his discussions with the leaders of military junta that overthrew the democratically elected government.

According to him, “I came to brief him on the details of my discussions with leaders of Niger.

“We’ll continue to do our best to bring the two parties together to improve understanding. This is the time for public diplomacy, it’s not a matter that we leave to governments, All Nigerians, all Nigeriens need to be involved to find a solution that works for Africa, a solution that works for Niger that works for Nigeria and a solution that works for humanity.”
