Akpabio: The Only Prayers Going Into Nigerians Mails Are More Taxes And Burdens – Kate Henshaw Laments

Veteran Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw has lamented that the only prayers going into the mailboxes of poor Nigerians are more taxes and burdens.

Henshaw stated this while reacting to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio promise to send tokens to his colleague’s account as they embark on recess.

Akpabio had made the statement during Wednesday’s plenary session.

“In order to enable all of us to enjoy our holidays, a token has been sent to our various accounts by the Clerk of the National Assembly,” Akpabio told colleagues.

The Senate President later withdrew the statement rephrasing the supposed disbursement as “prayers” sent to their “mailboxes”.

Reacting to Akpabio’s statement, Henshaw opined that the lawmakers don’t care about poor Nigerians adding that they expect the citizenry to smile while going through tough times

She wrote, “The only “prayers” going into the “mail” of Nigerians is more taxes, more burdens, more “grin & bear it”, more “we don’t give a f@#k”.

“Happy holidays to the ones meant to serve & bring succour to their constituents. Nothing do una jare.

“What’s the worst that can happen? Morning”
